The relationship between food insecurity and conflict has been explored in depth due to the significant impact that one has on the other. However, the opposite relationship has only recently become the subject of analysis. Most analyses and proposals on how food security policies can contribute to social construction focus on exploring their links at the local level.
While this is essential for achieving both objectives, the current food system has major limitations in meeting them. Based on this limitation, this study aims to explore the challenges that international institutions must address in order to promote both peacebuilding and global food security, as well as how to achieve this.
